New Year, New You?

It’s another cycle around the sun: new horizons, new beginnings… and new you, or so they say. There’s something about that phrase – New Year, New You – that just doesn’t quite ring well in my ears. As if – there is something inherently wrong with you, as of present. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for New Year’s resolutions and setting intentions and goals. We are all a work in progress, and we should strive to be the best version of ourselves. But there in itself lies the answer – to be the best version of yourself.

… so maybe it’s really just about getting back to yourself – your true self, your highest self. The self you want to be, the self you know you are capable of being – if only you made some changes. Not only make some changes but follow through – consistently and persistently, day by day. We are all on our own journeys in life and have come so far. The fact that you are here at all is a miracle in itself. Did you ever think about that? All who have come before you, who had to have met, the events, the struggles… and against all odds – here you stand (or sit:).

Sometimes, we forget to give ourselves credit for all the accomplishments we’ve made, all the smiles we’ve shared, the battles we’ve fought, the hands we’ve held, and all the memories we’ve made along the way.

… and you know, to just be grateful for Life itself. There are so many blessings around us that we take for granted. The main one, in my opinion – Nature. They say Mother Nature is a great, if not the greatest, Healer. Everything around you has come in one shape or form from nature.

Studies have shown that spending time in nature relaxes us, alleviates stress, and can literally help heal us when we are ill or out of balance. Being in nature helps to heal us – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

And even if you’re a city dweller, you can always find a way. Get yourself a lovely bouquet of flowers. Have you ever noticed that having a fresh vase of flowers can lift your mood up and energize you? Or, go to a park and bask in the sunshine, ground your toes into the luscious grass (don’t worry, you can wash your feet when you get home!), and don’t forget to stare at the trees and watch the flailing of the leaves.

Oh yea, make sure you bring your BEARZ Outdoor blanket with you! 😉

Being in nature can be a spiritual experience. Have you ever heard of the saying “nature is my temple”?

Path in the Forest

A great way to reconnect to your soul? Spend time more in nature.

Wash away your fears in the water
Ground in the forest
Let the wind blow away your worries
Let the sun light you up

Now, go on and get out there!

Adventure awaits.

The world is your oyster.

Best wishes from all of us at BEARZ Outdoor!
